I am Vimal, a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist offering virtual therapy in Ontario. I provide a calm, non judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome, including your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, culture, history, and the parts of yourself that may have been hidden or unheard.
My approach is trauma informed and non pathologizing. Rather than focusing on what is wrong, we explore what you have lived through and the strengths that have helped you adapt. I work with youth, adults, and older adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and prolonged grief, identity concerns, and major life transitions, as well as those who feel something needs to change but are not yet sure how to name it.
My work is integrative and evidence based, drawing from EMDR, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy, CBT, DBT, IFS informed work, mindfulness, and somatic approaches. Sessions are collaborative, grounded, and shaped around your needs, values, and lived reality.
